ASET Assessment Certification English Language Competency For International Students
In Canada, an Internationally-educated
graduate in engineering and applied science has the option to attain provincial
certification as a technician or technologist. In the province of Alberta, ASET
provides the following designations for engineering, applied science and
information science practitioners: Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.),
Certified Technician (C.Tech) and Professional Technologist (P.Tech.). To
attain any of these designations, you must have a positive ASET
assessment.
An internationally-educated graduate
follows the same application process as all other applicants. To be certified
by ASET, you need to fulfill a minimum standard of education, professionalism
and work experience. ASET accepts work experience obtained outside of Canada.

You need to show proficiency in the English
language which must be sufficient to help you responsibly practise the profession.
You need to meet this requirement by giving the results of the below-given

Canadian English Language Proficiency Index
Program (CELPIP).
Pearson PTE (PTE Academic).
